Setting Up Compliance In PilotoMail

Learn how to configure the ID verification process in PilotoMail.

Updated over a week ago

To ensure compliance with U.S. federal regulations, we've created a fully automated compliance process with our seamless and secure ID verification.

To be compliant in PilotoMail, a renter will be prompted to follow a step-by-step verification process.

πŸ“Œ Note: A mailbox renter, including all mail recipients that will be receiving mail at your space, need to be compliant.

Setting Up Compliance in PilotoMail

If you activate compliance in PilotoMail, a renter's compliance process will remain pending in the system until they check every step (verify their two IDs and sign and confirm their CMRA form).

You can set a grace period, a period of days a renter has to complete the compliance process. After the days are up, a renter can still view their incoming mail, but not make any actions requests.

  1. On your sidebar, click Settings.

  2. Click Mailbox.

  3. Activate or deactivate CMRA compliance in the toggle button.

  4. Enter the number of days a renter has to complete the compliance process.

  5. On the designated space, upload the image file of your agent or notary signature. This signature will be used to sign your renter's CMRA forms.

πŸ“Œ Note: If you do not wish to enforce compliance, simply deactivate the toggle button without adding the number of days.
