Assigned Mail to a Mailbox by Mistake

Learn how to unassign or reassign mail.

As a mail operator, you have the power to assign mail to your renters. Because mistakes happen, it's possible to unassign mail when it has been assigned to the wrong mailbox in PilotoMail.

Unassign mail from a mailbox


Say you were assigning mail and mistakingly choose the wrong company or PMB. From your desktop web app:

  1. Visit the βœ‰οΈ Mail tab.

  2. Select Assigned to filter view.

  3. Search for the mail and select the mail identifier.

    The profile for that mail piece will appear.

  4. Click the 𐄛 three-dot icon.

  5. Select Reassign.

  6. Enter the company name or PMB to search for the mailbox.

  7. Select the correct mailbox.

  8. Click the Assign button.

Reassign mail to a mailbox


If a mailbox was assigned mail incorrectly, a renter can submit the request Not Mine. To reassign:

  1. Select the βœ‰οΈ Mail tab.

  2. Select the mail ID.

  3. Click the 𐄛 three-dot icon on the mail profile window.

  4. Choose Re-Assign.

  5. Select the correct mailbox to assign.
